Server move and rinoa.nu is alive again, I hope. Anyone with FTP or mail please contact me for new info.

The FFXI Halloween event mentioned on IGN apparently had some GMs running around in costumes that players can't get. Our server didn't seem to have that event.

A later patch will add the unreleased areas which are only seen in cutscenes. Shots of what looks to be Al'Taieu were taken by Phoenix at FFO from viewing cutscenes. Want to go there ar..

I'm officially haijin now. MP 1244/1244 as lv75 Elvaan SMN/WHM. That's just so wrong. With Dalmatica I have full Zenith set but won't get the pants made unless I really need it for my WHM (when it reaches 73 at least). It's funny because I wasn't really gonna hunt that night due to helping some RoD/aXe people do promyvion. When my LS won the pull they called me over to come in case it dropped.

Surprisingly it did drop, after 20+ Nidhoggs of never seeing it since joining the linkshell. Also pretty ironic that I landed the killing blow while wearing gimped promyvion equip.

Ooh, remember that old JP FFXI Flash movie called "Meeting Again" from last year? There's an english version now, apparently the story got so popular even among english players.

I'm trying to get back into the haijin swing of things, my BLM owned Fafnir and Kirin, enough to take target after every other spell. Iqgira body + HQ staves = nuff said. My SMN didn't quite own Nidhogg, though. Summon Magic Skill is about 4 numbers away from cap with the boosts and merit points, but it's not enough. Seems I need AF2 gloves and shoes to be more effective.

Among other game things, Rinoa shrine has some new text added (her thoughts in Ultimania) under 'Her Story'. Expect something like this for Jenn's Tifa shrine soon. Difference is that Rinoa's thoughts make her kinda lame, while Tifa's thoughts make her even more awesome.

Silver will be back soon from Japan (possible toys) and I need to pimp myself out to borrow someone's EN Star Ocean 3 and an EN PS2 before I die a horrible death. Nel Zelpher = ninjar pimp.

Recent uproads: CoP Mission: 1, 2, Tavnazia, Formors, NPCs

Saria is back, and now in FFXI! She's a wee RDM lass named Alcarinque (adding to our collection of elv red hair clones). Tina also got her expansion, now hoping Jenn can get hers.

Everyone seems to have had problems with the Promv Hola boss and it was listed as the hardest, which is why we decided to do it first. Two parties out of the three in our trip were successful. My own party coasted on the first try for all three bosses, which lead us to believe that it's playerskill and adapting to situations (not necessarily money spent) determining who wins. I think most of the credit goes to Ceis' timing skills.

More stories of the mission fun and our mess of a meripo party can be found at Tinu's log. Tavnazia is nice, but at the moment there really isn't much to do outside of more Missions and a few minor quests. The views and music don't make up for how leveling there is a mess.

Seems our options include level capped areas. After getting to 75 and having bling+merits = no thx. We tried a party at Bibiki Bay which was much better. A visit to the Isle ended up with us finding new fish (added after patch) and a cool sunset with sparkling water.

So far we coasted through the next mission and got access to Riverne, where parts of the broken Cape Riverne are suspended in the sky with Spatial Displacements. While I enjoyed the view, dozens of people from various HNM LSes had their asses handed to them by Vrtra, an undead dragon in Ranperre's Tomb which summons more undead.

The cutscenes and NPCs in this expansion have more personality than Zilart, so I'm pleased to see more "FF" ness. Ulmia is kewl and Prishe is pure FF8JP Zell. Seems that Prishe's boyish talk was removed in the english FFXI game.. For now I'm looking forward to a new crag/teleport spell to Tavnazia, and some chocobos. Need some time savers here.
