Uh, why is the time screwed up on my blog?
Weird.. anyways holy sh*#$% you are a genius Kate! I just read the small writings about "For the Love of Avon" at White Crow and I felt the exact same way and thought the same things during the short "I want to be your canary" scene in FF9. It's the main reason why "Mistaken Love" is one of my favourite BGM tracks. Everyone who has finished that part of FF9 go there now and READ!
A tired Mao, who was totally struck by "I want to be your canary" for the same reasons. Kate you should also add the name references to previous FFs in FF9 - particularly in that play. It's spoilerific if I post it here though..

Cleaning out my weekold or so mail since I haven't been online often, this is what I find. Alot of spam from "get rich" stuff, many R.I.N.O.A. submissions, XFL cheerleader application request (haha riiight -- but I'm gonna be watching XFL for sure!!), and tons of long threads with buddies I have yet to reply to..
Game status: Disc 3 (man this game is short, and I want a goddamn airship already!), Oielevert-whatever city, Garnet has turned into a "Steve"!

I did the same looking glass test thingy as RedZ and got this. This seems to be from the same place as the other test, some womens's website..
*hugs mappy* Mappy, that's my computer's nickname. Computers are like pets to me, like cats. Don't mess with them too much, best to leave them alone if something's wrong... Yesterday my brother messed around with Mappy. Mappy didn't like what he did and wouldn't start up. Since last night I was trying to fix Mappy, and hope my HDs weren't emptied like my brother's was.
Thanks to Adam at GI Destop Support (h3 rox! thnx) after a few hours I figured out which cables were inserted the wrong way. It was impossible to find without tracing every cable one at a time and getting dust all over myself.
I started to realize how much important things I have on Mappy, and how much my family's life and my own really depends on it. Schedules, access, accounts, mail, messages, VPN, contacts, files, notes, documents, designs. Hmm, if I ever lost all this stuff, I'd loose alot of money too. It's like loosing the contents of your house, I think.
On another note, Garnet I want those Initial D toys too... HACHI ROKU!!! Don't mind me, I can't think of you as any other nickname than Garnet.. I'm one of those people who only remembers the first alias people go by.
And the suspected upside-down-name-plate person was Kevin Schluter, I KNEW EET!! He was too happy looking, you have to be a good actor to put it off with styleee! I shall get him back.. something freakay and not "that could be done in the 50s" eh? j00'll see, I oown j000r c0/\/\put3R!!

My arse is tired, carried a PS2, PSX and left over Rigatoni home.. While in the street car full of onlookers Robert decides he wants to look at the PS2 box (gee, now the purpose of a misleading bag goes down the drain!) and a few d00ds choked at the $699.99 price tag on it. I aint touching the PS2 though, cause I have yet to play ENGLISH, that's right, Steve's FF9 US copy. IN ENGLISH. w00t!
Dog, why do you like such fruity movies? First it was King of Fruits, Titanic. Now Crouching Tiger! The movie was ok. Not really groundbreaking stuff or whatever to me. I'm just mad that some nobody was the lead while Michelle Yeoh and Chow Yun Fat (yes that's my brother Silver and him) who you're tricked into thinking were the leads, aren't in it enough.
Wire Fu rox j00. That flying, during one scene scored a coconut on the Fruit Scale for me. I'm sorry, but he did a SUPER MAN POSE. That was overkill. Yes, I'm asian. Yes, I watch alot of chinese movies. Yes, I thought that was hellin fruity.
In online news:
Icha did a new X-files theme to her blog, nifty rollovers!
There's already 5+ shrines to Yuna when there's TWO pictures and a few SENTENCES about her released (can't say much for the site content then, huh?). And it's amusing to see the goddess test I did taking trips on the merry-go-blog. *from icha to angela to kate*
grAte, Sean wont pickup the PSX from Fatrob's house so now I gotta carry PSX and PS2 home..
SoM copy finally arrived in mail, w00t! Gotta get a working SNES box soon too..
And yes dog, I'd like to see more of Vincent unbuttoned X_X not!

Testors time. Putting these in blogs are a hot commodity it seems. Which Goddess am I?
50% Aphrodite -- If you are ruled mostly by Aphrodite, your femininity and passionate spirit are the controlling forces in your life. You tend to be charismatic and self-assured, comfortable with your body and unrestrained sexually. Men are drawn to you like bees to flowers, which satisfies your erotic nature. However, you tend not to form permanent attachments with lovers because you value your sexual freedom, which may leave you feeling lonely and even depleted once a relationship ends. To find and form a more lasting relationship, you need to add more of the goddess Hera to your life.
LMAO, I that's nothing like me! "unrestrained sexually" heheheheee The rest were 16% Athena, 16% Hera, 8% Persephone, 8% Artemis, 0% Demeter, 0% Hestia.
Well, my silly tendancies and computer geek side shines according to this Cowboy Bebop one.

Nice personal site, Rydia, your skills in HTML are going up fast! Don't forget about life away from the comp though. Like Seven of Nine says about being Borg, "perfection can be very tempting"! heheeheee I also find everything at Icha's blog! She has everything!
Gah, Tifa is just awesome, she's the most perfect female character in an RPG ever. Bartender, fighter, shy, long and dark hair. Those are the reasons I liked her when I first played FF7. I also just noticed that she's like a water elemental. Her limit breaks are either water or sky/celestial.
I've also decided to revive my // serene ring. I killed all the dead sites and change requirements so they make more sense. A new member, Pure Magic got another beautiful redesign.
Fellow Tifa fan, the Prof emailed me back (Hi Prof if you're reading!), he better still be the Cid Kramer voice in FF8. He's a working man now, so hopefully this can be in his schedule!
Also noticed that Kate has a blog, man, everyone has one!
Me eating shortbread cookies from england at the moment, my mom paid alot for them but... they're too buttery! Makes me thirsty after each bite.. grah
Celeste's spankin new Kuja Shrine looks like it is THE best one on the web! Great job, girl! In other news, ole Prof translated an interview with FFX staff. Looks like despite the unimpressive characters, the game is a huge change!
Its almost 2am, and my throat still sore.. gonna try drinking something (though it hurts swallowing) and go sleep..

Whoa, I just saw that Garnet has a Initial D mp3 on her blog, kick ass! I love that anime to bits!
I hope that everyone likes this new layout, I love that Tifa artwork!

Oh man, this brings back kewl memories. I totally loved it when games have funny translations. It was a part of growing up..! I also paid a recent visit to ToastyfrogCOM, read the "dissapointing games" list and the "religion in games" stuff. Hella funny, especially since I actually shared those same thoughts subliminally and thought I was a weirdo. I wish more games were mentioned though.
FFX media and infos are being released everywhere now that the Japanese site is open and the media is allowed to publish the (same old) artwork. It surprising, I haven't seen/had much "new Final Fantasy!" hype since FF8. Prolly cause it was full of drastic changes..
Wow, Icha the layout machine made a nice aqua green one for Garnet! Cute! Heck maybe I should move my blog out of this tiny hole and make a temp "my mind" layout.. what do you think? Cause I know its annoying to scroll in here..
Not much happened today, Sunny and I went to some Indian place for lunch, and came back smelling like the spices.. thats right, we're real BROWNIES baybee!! The food was DAMN spicy! My lips were swollen red and I drank two cans of coke cause of how hot it is... ended up going bathroom alot hehehe
Sunny and I plan to find out more on CN Tower's restaurant, "360". Will be hard to get reservations for our Team India though.. but people are already interested! I never went there my whole life and want to now!! I'm totally a restaurant and salmon freak. Looking at the menu I already know what I'm going to get X_X Man these prices are a ripoff...!!
Appetizer: Smoked Prince Edward Island salmon on a sage and onion tart with white truffle vinaigrette.
Main: Spiced fillet of St. Stevens salmon with dry potato, cauliflower and peppered pineapple chutney.
Dessert: Dark chocolate tower with preserved fruits and raspberry coulis.
yumm, I shall go eat a few timbits in anticipation..

Wow, I got home "early" today, 8:30 at least. Last night was kewl, after the GN "testers" (there's a reason why Testers is in quotes -- feegure eet out) meeting, Sean and I went to SoLo. The same place I dragged some of SquareGamer Toronto's gang last Saturday. I go there WAAAY too much, lunch and dinner. But the food is sooo good!! We talked about the wonders of why GN is still actually on TV, why aren't there any more lingerie models "hosting", how its strange that nearly no asians are involved with the show when most avid game consumers are asian....
Speakin of asian, there was a new asian waiter at SoLo and he was hilarious! Sean freaked at the $80 bill (with tip) at the end, I dun think he's ever eaten that expensive before. Egads, must tone down on going to this restaurant or will be broke.. Egads, might end up going again in a few days...charbroiled fresh atlantic salmon.. *slaps self*
On another note, since I rarely read journals it surprises me when I'm mentioned in em! Yes Ryd and Icha, I did get a blog! I dont plan t o be using blogger permanently though.

All day long at work I was wasting time at toronto.com looking up videogame stores and calling for a copy of Secret of Mana for sale. New or used. From airheaded females on the other end to guys hitting on me (and yuck, my voice is not sexy, I sound like a plucky 10 year old), to a half hour conversation with a blockbuster guy (specifically the blockbuster near my house XD) about the nostalgia of SoM and Chrono Trigger!
Anyways, I couldn't find it and was suggested ebay.com more than once. Turns out independent places that would still have the game wont part with it.. no matter what my offer is. Not even $100+ because they still make revenue from people still renting it... ARGH. So the crazy John and I ended up going INSANE. I bought the first Secret of Mana copy to end on ebay that afternoon. I sniped a barstard's ass at the LAST SECOND for bidding above me with 1 min left -- I hate competing on ebay plus I had to pay more. Impatient little freaks are we! I think John should be inducted to our extended gaming family hehehe, he's even similar to John (other john) begger!
When I got home tired like hell at nearly 9pm, I was gonna take a shower and sleep without eating until... Stevie the begger came over! Gah! I thought he wouldn't today! "Go to chinatown and ask for steve", he just appears wherever he wants! So no sleep for me! He brought the Choo Chee extended family PS2 and we played: SFEX3 (3 player mode with Sean hehe), DOA2, TTT, Midnight Club and Smuggler's Run.
The irony of it all is that we ended up having the most fun with TTT's Tekken Bowl. It isn't as cool as hearing the announcer say "chicken" in a previous tekken, but is very addictive nonetheless. Also we had alot of fun with Midnight Club's "catch the flag mode" but... DAMN its too easy to drift in that game! Though I think this way its quite nice on my poor NES-childhood-calloused-thumbs. I love the feeling of perfectly controlling my drifting. To think that I hated cars to death, all before Initial D anime. Now I somewhat tolerate them. I even used a hatchback (HachiROKU!!) coloured in pink while playing because of it's great control in that game even without analog.
My reviews of all these PS2 games will come soon. For now its sleepy time and I gotta have enough energy for tomorrow evening, since I'll be visiting Planetworks. It's been a looong time since I was there. They plan to have me be a "tester" on the GameNation show.

Dammit, I can't find the things I'm looking for! Number one on the list is Secret of Mana for SNES. It's hard to find SNES game copies cause stupid game stores done away with "previous generation" console titles. On friday night's "Globe Interactive Team India" (tm Sheila) outing to The Host (the food and service was better this time) John and I were jonesing for this game so bad! I still am! I'd bring an SNES with 3 controllers, multitap and we'll play it all night! We dunno who will be our third person to play the cute sprite!
The other thing I can't bloody find are Rinoa's ballroom dancing shoes (thanks to Garnet for the pic)! My dress is almost done (ended up using a zipper anyway, since it wouldn't be snug enough without one) and I am searching for non-ballroom dancing only shoes to wear outdoors! Turns out they're a FETISH shoe style! How awful! The closest thing to it is here. It usually comes in patent (shiny ugly material) and has extremely high heels. Celeste suggested I get them custom made and at this point.. I think I will! Especially since Rinoa's are actually slingbacks with double ankle straps -- that shoe style simply doesn't exist.
Someone also invited me to join a group of people at Anime North doing the FF8 ballroom dance at the con.. I'm guessing they are unawares that if we dont have a smooth floor and ballroom dancing shoes that it wouldn't work. Not to mention the actual dancesport experience and knowledge. I want to join them for fun anyway, even if a leg breaks XD
My first post! Hmm, I dont read any blogs actually, so there's only a few links down the side here..
Well, last night me and Andy went to a really cool restaurant, Sassafraz. We go to cool restaurants all the time, but this was cooler than usual hehe, cause we had to celebrate his birthday. The food was great -- though we both had better. It's in the poshy area of Toronto, and alot of celebrities go to the restauraunt. Pictures and autographs along the walls were there, like Mike Myers, Olson Twins, Robin Williams. The bill wasn't bad at all, just over $100. Since you're also paying for presentation of food..
I got the smoked salmon that was vodka cured among other stuff for appetizer, Sassafraz Signature dish for main course (mainly Salmon), and the Chocolate Mousse tower thing with crusty pastry around it. Andy had the ceasar salad for appetizer and the tiger shrimp dish for main course. It was excellent tasting and looking food. Even though the server we had seemed to be a new guy, the host more than needed checked to see if everything is good.
Right now I'm learning PHP/SQL stuff so I'm tired, I also have yet to review the copies of PS2 Smugglers Run and Midnight Club sent to me from Rockstar Games. My friend Wing @ Angel Studios is Game Designer and made his silly ass a secret character in the game! I can't wait to try!
