Today was the first time I was the onry BLM at Fafnir in like.. months. The last time it happened was when I was still a newbie member and another BLM eventually came in. This also was the first time I tested Rune Staff on Fafnir.

Concrusion: I don't think I need a Water/Wind/Thunder Staff. I used the Rune Staff, Skilnir's Wand+Aspis, Aquilos Staff and Rune Staff beat all three in damage. Especially in MB.

Rune Staff's MP usage feels like using a Summon. The only annoying part is having to have the weapon out, and sometimes waiting for renkei or next recast. My impatience got me targetted many times since I refused to sit without having at least doing a few thousand damage first hehe.

Still no screens, and I'm PLing my older brother who is TRULY A BEGGAR. War19. Yukata. No pants. No boots. dex1 ring ONRY. Level 10 MP hairpiece (WUT). MP+2 earrings (double WUT). Level 4 cape... you get the idear. zzzz

Wrugh so much infos for Tifa shrine found by Jenn lately. I think my brain is going to exprode before I start playing FF7i. Not just character info, but some on Tetsuya Nomura himself is always weird after looking at the Shinra Diary. Kind of like yam pointing out he smokes Winston.

Other useless facts include:
-being late for everything, being on time is a surprise
-he has a weak stomach
-when he first applied to join Squaresoft he only had drawings of women, all who had long hair (like Tifa, it seems)
-in Xenogears he had a poster of Tifa put in the game

FFXI related, I didn't know that Nomura had designed Elvaans, some story NPCs, even did some rough (but discarded) Mithra. I wonder what a Nomura-mithra would have been like.

Me and Silver been playing lotta FFXI into the wee hours of the morning, can't really remember everything we did in detail but to sum it up: good times. BCNMs, AF, quests, hunts, Missions, randomness with RoD and aXe is all we've been doing lately. I think after the BCNM runs everyone who is new to BCs' player skill has grown 6.0. up!

Merit point status:
1 point - 10MP
1 point - (stored)
1 point - 8,000/10,000

Currently working towards a +1 int (3 points cost) then the next will be another MP bonus (2 points cost). Not sure if I'll switch the order of aquiring the bonuses.

In game I see far too many people doting on material things and poking in on what other people do, in particular HNM linkshells. I think I should thank my stars that I'm not a member of any "about to break up any second/run by selfish idiot without morals" linkshells and am surrounded by friends and family in my playtime, but even I get sucked into drama.

Sticking to one's own business and progressing at one's own pace honestly reaps far greater successes than whining over what "so and so has" all day. Some people just can't earn what they want without tripping over themselves, because they are so damn busy coveting what someone else has.

To celebrate the way LJ is like a broken telephone I made an FFXI quiz just to see how it works, and again there's that "Sheila effect" (tm someone). Where I say or do something meaningless and many random people (400?) will check it out anyway. I came up with the results on the spot, just to fill in the spaces on the form yet people are taking their RANDOM results so seriously. Oh well, you're supposed to use your player name and it makes most sense for old school Ragnarok Server - Importers ONRY.

My main email will not accept attachments and things with key words (enlargements, ejaculations, the usual) at all, even though it will say it's gone through. Anyone who needs, I have a somewhat unlisted address but the best way is posting at DF about whatever or PMing there if need stuff.

I still use ICQ but it's negroes/family/etc onry, messages from outside will not get in (and haven't gotten in since 1997). You need to tell me from some other way who you are, and if you can't that means you probably don't know me enough in the first place.

People who want info about FFXI gameplay, as stated in the FAQ: email and don't ask me in game. I want to play too, and most of what I do requires concentration. I don't enjoy messing up and both my Linkshells share standards of playskill and reaction time. I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate having a dozen tells in the log from random people while doing a BC or HNM battle.

Finally, I homotranced out and got a Livejournal to see people by using friends list. Add me, or tell me to add you nigs. I won't post there, though. Schierke = lil witch lady in Berserk.

Wao, this is the hattest layout evar. Even matches her upcoming shrine. Lazy my arse, the orignal image had a ton of annoying petals and a horrible backdrop. It's the finished product that counts.

FFXI: One day I'm looking at a pic of it from Anjira's viewer then the next Papi got me a Rune Staff. Even if it looks like a birdhouse according to him, it's a decently strong staff when the Latents are on. I spent some quarity time with it. The bad side effect is the amount of checks and tells from random people about it.

It boosts raw damage (attack+ versus STR - magic attack+ versus INT) the same way the HQ Elemental Staves do, but affects all spells and is especially noticeable on Magic Burst. HQ Elemental Staves still are stronger for that one particular spell. How much Magic Attack Up the Rune Staff gives, I really don't know. Wearing INT+10 (Skirnir's Wand+Astral Aspis) did less damage than the Rune Staff.

Much adventure had when Tinu, Anjira and myself went to watch AA kill Fafnir. Actually, we came to watch Ceis fireball Fafnir and cheer him on. He at first didn't want to go, probably scared we would see him decked out like a cute little bard. Us wimminz couldn't have that. AA put on quite a show before the pop, lots of jokes on shout, say and emotes out of boredom.

Last night I helped my brother get his rainbow undies, Galka RSE done. Got help from Rental-Girl (Mogrika) and Yu (perverted taru Feiht), so it was done in record time.

Right after that I saw a shout for only 3 WS quests, one being the 2h Staff which I needed. I joined in and Ayako did too (bored and wanting to test his damage). It's amazing how some players can be level 75 and not admit to having no Cauldron map until they're lost. The WS quest spot is so close to the entrance it's not even funny. Ayako ate two RaiseIIIs thanks to MAPdekinaijins straying everywhere. Yum.

I tried out Retribution and it's pretty cool but not that strong. My character looks like a baton twirler, she throws up the staff in the air and it spins, hits the monster, then she catches it like a boomerang.

I later had a Tu'Lia God NM run to do, then passed out. After the second Byakko battle, myself and a RDM both got one Merit Point (everyone was goin "omedeto", it was like leveling hehe). For now I'm using my Merit Point for +10MP. Passed out then woke up in time for Tina's AF3 tour. Much adventure, much aggro, people falling in holes and stuff OH YEAR. As she got her AF we spent some time chetting on MeatWall, seems that ORTS gets around.

Remix of the day: Chrono Trigger fans, PRS GO. That's my absolute favorite track in the whole game, and to hear it remixed and fleshed out neatly was awesome.

Screens here and I really wish I had FFXI for PC and a PC that could play it for nicer screens :e

Ok, so I opened this thing and my brain just blanks out at what we've done lately. Everytime I get in the game it's a rush from one thing to the other. Nothing really interesting aside from everyone's usual schedules, but now that the major HNMs are popping in Japan Standard Time it means I have to be on for them in the morning, orz.

JST is hell, at least 4-5 linkshells fighting for HNM pops at one time. But if popped during the day for America, these same HNMs are completely untouched. Regardless, all the niggits at Juventus have managed to get Fafnir everyday /clap

Most battles I came as BLM, then one as SMN. BLM is still far more damaging, and fun (despite dying/hate levels/exp loss/merit=gay). I noticed that my SMN does slightly less damage and has less aim than the SMN-job-onry taru who was in the LS. I was averaging as we did the exact same thing every minute.

So right after that I decided to walk out into Batallia and investigate. I also went to other locations with my pets and tested their damage. I used CHR equipment, I used SMN Mag Skill+ equipment, I used Element staves, I used everything. Then I took them all off, and repeated the process. I did the same attack on the same leveled monsters yet yielded the same damage no matter what I changed. The exact same damage down to the exact number.

After all the testing only one answer explains why the other SMN did slightly more on average:
Summon Magic Skill.

The higher your skill, the more accuracy of your pet's physical attacks, less magic and physical resist. Even so, the difference is so small. Comparing our stats, he had 50 more SMN Mag Skill than me by wearing equipment that boosts it. That's how much it takes to notice a slight difference. On top of that, we were fighting versus an HNM. It would be unnoticed on normal monsters. I'm also starting to believe skill affects their defense, too.

So if I want to be a strong Summoner, I need to do more hours of brainless skill up. As if leveling up wasn't brainless enough, yay? The only skill I've gained from Summoner job is having this Lt. Commander Data internal 60 second clock going "PACT TIME!".

Thx to anjira I also got to see my character in a Dalmatica and Rune Staff (no pants but of course!), I've never seen a female Elvaan on our server with one yet.

Scary change coming, Ceis joined AA! I can't wait for his SHOKKU. He thinks he is so godly now with his equipment (for normal monster and NM he is, but for HNM?)... and will realize he can do a whopping 0 dmg and miss a million times on HNMs no matter what he is wearing. he he he at least he is a little prepared to wander Tu'lia and fight certain HNM now.
